Tripwire In Vector Linux 3.4 Or Its Implementation

Sir In My Pc Vector Linux 3.4 Is Installed.i Am Working On A Project In Same Os In Which I Have To Implement Tripwire And Show Its Functionality.i Know This Version Of Os Does Not Have Tripwire.please Guide Me As To How I Can Implement Tripwire In Vector Linux.i Am Looking Forward For Your Solutions On Following Things:

1. Does Vector Linux 3.4 Support Tripwire
2. If Yes Than How To Search For It.
3. If Not Than From Where To Install It And How To Implement It.
4. Any Other Supporting Version Which Can Be Interfaced With Vector Linux 3.4 And Can Run The Tripwire.

Thanking You Very Much

Anil

You should be able to run tripwire on any Linux. There's a similar request for tripwire info in the post here at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...93#post2035193. Hopefully that will help you get it running.

You can probably install Tripwire via Gslapt-get but you have to have root permission in Vector to do it.

I would recommend that you obtain Vectorlinux Standard 5.1 and install that since it will be the most recent and secure version of Vector you can run. (It should run on the just about any hardware but since you did not post your machine specs. this is just an assumption.)

Tripwire should be available in the Gslapt-get sources. If it is not you can obtain the tarball from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/tripwire

Goodluck.
