Exclamation Official VL forum

It's very nice to see VectorLinux is popular enough for it's own place here on LinuxQuestions.org, but I'd like to point out there are official VL forums which are visited by a lot of helpful people. Here's the address off the VL forum:

http://www.vectorlinux.com/forum2/

I don't mean to take people away from LinuxQuestions (I've found some useful info here in the past), but I think getting help on VL specific subjects might be easier on our forum.

question to the mods / admins: could you please sticky this topic?

We know Since the only rule for having a sub-forum here is that the distro must participate, we have a bit of officiality here too. Plus, VectorLinux is a Slackware derivative so most VL questions can be answered by Slackers. And this is the official Slackware forum.

Also, VL forums have 900 members and we have 272,487 so an answer is just as, or more, likely here as there. Not trying to get into a bragging rights contest, but there you go.

So no sticky for you

Which is why I referred to to VL specific questions.

None of those 270000 answered the technical questions here though. Had they asked it on our forum they would've been helped earlier

Eventhough I disagree with you I realize the moderators are always right... I suppose I'll post something every now and then to keep it on top.

[edit]
I meant nobody except for shahgols of course! Kudos for helping out here and alerting us of the people here who need help with VL.

You'll go a long way. Now we just need to make sure everyone else knows this

We're not always right - just most of the time

Let's stop bumping this thread please. Anyone looking for a forum can search either LQ or Google or whatever. I am sure that VL, if it's anything like other distros, has links coded in. Empty bumping just wastes bandwidth.

I agree that this post is being over-bumped. You could've just 'stickied' it though , none of this bumpin' would've happened .

Final bump on closure - this thread is really going nowhere. I will sticky it when I see that the VLForums have stickied a thread redirecting people to LQ.
