I am using Vector Linux Light 7.1 for a few months now. On the Vector Linux forum there are several security-warnings and encouragements to update certain packages like openssl.
Howerover when I try to update using gslapt (Update, Mark all updates, execute) the result is: 'Nothing to do'.
I did'nt touch the mirrorlist until now. I use the official mirrors for Vector Linux (Packages - extra - patches). Yet the packages remain the old unsecure versions. What should I do to implement the right security-updates?
I've had the same experience--I haven't seen an update since installing it in the VM several months ago (I can't remember exactly when I created the VM).
I would suggest to post this question on the VectorLinux forum: http://forum.vectorlinux.com/index.php
as it seems to be more frequented than this one by the admins and developers.
