Just installed Vector Linux (SOHO 5.0.1)

Installed 5.0.1 SOHO a few days ago. Not bad at all. Pretty quick too. Hardware detection was pretty impressive on installation (except USB mouse which I had to configure manually after).

Vlapt isn't bad, but after using pacman (on ARCH Linux) for so long I find it annoying that you don't get any progress details while Vlapt is downloading packages and dependancies.

1 quick question, can I use gslapt instead of VLapt?

I'm pretty sure that you can use gslapt because I believe that VLapt is just Vector's modified version of gslapt. Replace the 2.4.x kernel with a 2.6.x flavor, the speed is incredible. Or just install VL 5.1 Standard.
