Installpkg error: Package is corrupt

Hi everybody!

I'm trying to start my GUI session in VectorLinux, and installpkg is turning it really difficult. I need to install xfonts, because X11 prints an error message on the missing 'fixed' font, but installpkg (used by slapt-get, as well) starts the installation with a box and then shows:

ERROR: Package is corrupt: /home/ftp/pub/veclinux/packages/x/fontconfig-2.4.2-i486-2.tlz

Any package does the same. Can anyone help me, please? I'm in troubles since two weeks ago!!

Thanks very much!!!

Welcome to LQ.

You may have a none working /usr/bin/lzma
command ?

Suggest : use a .tgz package, e.g.
http://tukaani.org/lzma/download
http://tukaani.org/lzma/lzma-4.32.5-i586-1tukaani.tgz
unpack it,
tar xvf <package> , and use the 'lzma' temporarely,
until the corrupt lzma is reinstalled.
http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/veclin...packages/base/

And generally, no need to use pkgtool, the commands
are usable with the command line : # installpkg,
# removepkg , etc.
