I/O error during install question

installation goes smoothly except when i get to the Xfree 4.3. I get
I/O errors at about 10% complete blipping accross the screen. Have
tried downloading/burning the ISO over, still same thing. Am assumeing
it is a /dev/cdrom issue. Do I need to pass something specific to the kernel at boot up?

loading ide kernel at start of installation.

cyndyne 48/16/48 cdrom

vector linux 4.o rc2

Thanks,TheBman

I just tried reinstalling and it worked. Used same iso/cd and selected IDE kernel for boot, then during install I selected scsi kernel. Only thing different done. It is an IDE/atapi burner....should I have chosen this to begin with? Maybe I just didn't read close enough the first 3 times!!
