i hear that AIM wont run on linux cause its a windows download for it i hear theres something called Wine that will let me run windows downloads on linux. linuz version is ubuntu it hink its like 5.04 please help i dont like useing GAIM and if wine will fix this where do i find it?
ty for ur help just one question im really a newbie to linux but is there a link to install it or do i type that string in somewhere i havent had alot of time to play around with it yet so if u can plz put it in lamens terms.
AIM on wine doesnt work unless you get the windows 95 version... which is nada compared to gaim and the direct connect still doesnt work... just stick with gaim

aol has aim compiled for linux on it's webpage as well as for mac and cell phones. but I think it's a .rpm and I don't think the source is available but I'm sure there is a way to install .rpms on a debian based system.
