Ubuntu GD library


Any one installed GD library on a Lamp Server

care to share the apt-get install command, I cant seem to find it

I got imagemagick installed ok, tried last night, came up with error, then i tried again today and its installed

must of been sleepy

you should just be able apt-get install php-gd, and have it install all the required packages. restart apache after installing php, php-gd, etc... and you should be good to go.

Didn't seem to work

command line comes up with

E:Couldn't find package php-gd

I tried CPAN, but I don't think it installed ok

came up with; make had returned bad status install seems impossible.

I got it

Code:
apt-get install php5-gd
then run

Code:
/etc/init.d/apache2 restart
then i ran the phpinfo and GD was enabled

yeah, i just did a apt-cache search gd, and php5-gd was the result, and not php-gd. sorry about that.

how's W.A. this time of year? i was born in perth, now living in california.

Its not to bad, alitle cold but ok, still quiet as i spose for Perth to compair where your living now.

I was quite young when we left. but I was born in Subiaco. my family has friends that live in Applecross.
