UBUNTU 19.04 LXDE pcmanfm shows Icons but NO .pdf icons

Hi,

I upgraded UBUNTU 18.04 LXDE to 19.04.

As a filemanager I use PCMANFM which shows .JPG icons and so on.
PCMANFM does NOT show .pdf icons at all.
Also small .pdf icons are not shown.

Can anybody tell me what to do so i can see the .pdf icons again ?

Thunar does show the .pdf icons correctly but works not as fast as PCMANFM.
So I prefer PCMANFM

So--- what does pcmanfm show when there's a PDF in that directory?

Hi Ondoho,

It just generates an Icon/ thumbnail with the Adobe PDF logo while it should present the first page of the document.

pcmanfm does not do that, because that would eat significant resources.
You cannot have lightweight AND all bells and whistles.

Strange It worked in 18.04 LXDE.

Now Thunar Filemanager represents just SOME .pdf thumbnails. The new ones are not presented.
Do you have another (alternative) filemanager for me which CAN do that ??

Thanks in advance

Regards, Rick

Since you did not reinstall, but upgraded - can you please confirm that you're actually still using LXDE or LXQt (because since 19.04 Lubuntu has moved to LXQt)?

I will use Nautilus instead of PCMANFM.
Nautilus works fine for generating ALL thumbnails so this is a very nice alternative.
