remote login screen but need local login

Hi,

I've changed the setting in Ubuntu 6.10 login manager. I changed the style of browser to 'Plain' from 'themed'. Now when login window loads, remote login (XMDC may be) loads instead of local login window. I'm not on any network. Please help
