Hello, I installed Kubuntu 6.10 on my PC a week ago. So far I'm loving it, just have a few questions.
The first is about Kopete. I use it, and am loving it too. It has a lot of features I *NEED* (icon blinking when getting a message instead of popping up in the task bar, etc). This is weird.. I right-clicked someone's name the other day, and I SWEAR I saw a "View Chat History" button. All of a sudden today I look, and I can't find it. Anyone know about this? Did I somehow turn it off or something? Does it actually exist?
My second question is about installing VLC. I enabled one of the "universe" repositories (as instructions have told me to do), and tried to apt-get VLC. I keep getting this error though:
Code:
jonzo@nixbox:~$ sudo apt-get install vlc

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
