Question Kubuntu+Ubuntu 2 people 1 computer

I have a situation where I would like to be able to run kubuntu and ubuntu on the same system. My Slackware system used to have xwmconfig where I could just simply pick and choose what window manager I wanted to use at the time.

Is there something like that with (k)ubuntu that would allow me that flexibility or if I wanted to try another window manager (like in slack) to just run something like xwmconfig?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

You can choose which desktop environment from the GDM/KDM login screen. So simply:

Code:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop kubuntu-desktop
Then log out and choose which one you want from the Sessions menu on the login screen.

Looks like I had them both installed correctly but for some reason the ubuntu side was not giving me the options to change. I edited the /etc/X11/default-window-manager to say
Code:
/usr/bin/kdm
and then I am able to pick between KDE and Ubuntu Desktop Edition.

Thanks for the the hep and the point in the right direction.
