Keyboard not working after screen saver

My install of Ubuntu has a strange error..

If I leave the machine for a bit, the screen saver starts. But when I come back and reactivate the machine, the desktop reappears, but the keyboard no longer works.

I looked this error up, and found a solution that suggeted that I set the PnP OS Enabled option in bios, to Disabled. This I tried but it made not difference.

Thanks.

Try disabling ACPI at boot prompt. Maybe this helps.
