I deleted the wireless icon and i can't get it back

Major crisis mode: i have the latest edition of Ubuntu, and i was checking it out, and mistakingly deleted the wireless icon from the panel. When i tried to add it back that specific icon that lets me get onto the internet was not a part of the network choices, instead there were other network applications, which did not work well or at all, with respect to getting online. I have scoured the entire ubuntu OS looking for my lost wireless icon, if anyone was in this same position and solved it, your wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's called the "nm-applet" and it is part of the notification area.
Add the "notification area" applet and restart.
