Hi all,

I used new login the other night to login to an account I had to create for mysql because I couldn't log from the splash screen (something about "System Administrator has disabled this account" even though it seemed enabled from Account and Group Management. Long story short, I logged out of the main user accoutn without logging out from the mysql user account; now all Ubuntu does is reach GRUB, show the loading icon, and then display that chain of linux commander before showing the loading icon again (that's the cycle, it won't reach splash screen).

Any thoughts? Thanks.

so... grub is looping?

Perhaps you've got a line telling it to boot the MBR, which of course brings it back to grub. Can't see how that could possibly happen though.
