Facing issue while uploading file on linux server via FTP client

I'm attempting to upload an mp4 file (112MB) to a Linux server. After a successful transfer, its size is reduced to 103MB or 80MB. It is not uploading the full size. Its Owner/Group changed automatically into root/root as well.

I've stopped the lsyncd service. Then it works great after you stop the service. I reviewed the lsyncd logs but found nothing.

Can anybody help me out ?

Welcome to LinuxQuestions.

What distribution is running on the server. Is the client running linux or Windows?

Your probably using ascii mode versus binary mode to transfer but since ftp is not usually installed by default which ftp server is running? The permissions of the transfered file are typically of the user that is logged in. The better method is using sftp.

lsyncd remote requires ssh with keys as far as I know.

If the transfered file is owned by root then you are logging into the server as root. Most distributions disable root login using ssh so not enough information provided.

If the file is not corrupted then it depends on the filesystem type and blocksize etc. Different files sizes maybe normal.
