Question .esd_auth

Hi all,

what exactly is the purpose of .esd_auth file in the home directory ?

Has something to do with the esd sound system. But that's all I have for you.

I also know about esd files but don't know what exactly is .esd_auth file. Is both are the same?

My .esd_auth file is missing in my pc so how can it be found.
