As I have suggested several times, on the new computer download antiX and write it to the USB drive then install it to the old computer. Ubuntu 16 is unsupported, has many security vulnerabilities, probably will not work online with secure websites.
I still can't boot the USB, I of course went in and set the drive to boot first but Ubuntu still has first boot into Terminal, how do I boot antiX now? I don't know why that the new boot.img on it doesn't take over all commands? Or is there a step missing? I'm going to play around with it and see but I'm going to be very careful not to as cause a nuclear weapon and end all of humanity.
