Well, it's telling you that /dev/sdb does not exist.
Show us what you got with
Code:
sudo fdisk -l
(he really chose "ak47" as his username... *sigh*)

It is booting, to a command line not a desktop.

Not enough of the output shown in that last screenshot to see the USB drive.

As I have suggested several times, on the new computer download antiX and write it to the USB drive then install it to the old computer. Ubuntu 16 is unsupported, has many security vulnerabilities, probably will not work online with secure websites.

I still can't boot the USB, I of course went in and set the drive to boot first but Ubuntu still has first boot into Terminal, how do I boot antiX now? I don't know why that the new boot.img on it doesn't take over all commands? Or is there a step missing? I'm going to play around with it and see but I'm going to be very careful not to as cause a nuclear weapon and end all of humanity.

I would first try full. It should run fine in 512MB RAM.

The readme.txt file at the top of the download page includes the md5sum or sha356 checksums to verify the download was successful.

At moment I don't know why. Can you look at the contents of the USB drive on the new computer? What do you see?

Here's the new one with your specified "full" DL, is this one correct? Because I'm going to re run it through Rufus again.
