"active field" or "tabs" are all being pushed to the extreme right - can't select tabs & things to the left of right most item
I'm having some major problems with Kubuntu 16.04. It started by acting like my keyboard & mouse batteries were dead (they are all over 1.53v each) but even when sitting 6-8" from the MX receiver (logitech) I get really odd behavior. One letter will repeat 100+ times and then other times it won't type for 20-30 seconds. Then for no reason the backspace will erase 1/2 to 2-3 lines of what I just wrote. It seems to happen in any word processor (kate, notepadqq, firefox, chromium, konsole, etc). So I switched keyboards to a newer one (same model, just like 5 years newer, hardly used, and it seemed to do the same thing but not as much, but now I have a worse problem.
I'll have chrome open with like 4-20 tabs on top. I can select a tab and when I select a link on that search page, it opens a tab right next to that one - it will jump the the extreme right tab and I can't get back to any tab to the left, w/o closing those tabs.
Dolphin does the same thing, I have 2 panes open and it just goes far right like following the tree all the way to the end and I can't get back anywhere even if I close it, it jsut starts over from home directory.
VLC skips forward like 60-90 seconds at a time when I play something, IF I can even get something to open up.
The only think I did do was install greasemonky and tampermonkey and this started about 8-12 hours later and I just removed it. Anyone have any idea what this could be or what to even search regarding this?
Oh, I also can't zoom in with the mouse - it just zooms out & I have to use the "view" option on the menu.
If I go to system settings, input devices then mouse controls, I can't see anyting but "mouse Navigatin" the other two "general" and "advanced" I acan't access b/c somehow it always picks the most extreme option to the right.
Oh, this also happened in FF where it selected down instead of to the right. There were other similar things, but the system is so hard to use right now, I don't kow where to begin to test it b/c I HAVE to get some research done that I've been trying to do for 4-5 hours!
In VLC it seems that it will play a video but skips ahead at 32x speed and I can't slow it to normal speed. I installed SMplayer and that works.
Also when I click the "start button" lower left "K" (I'm runing Kubuntu) it just jumps all around like it's spazzing out and just flying all over the place. After 4-5 minutes I got it to settle on power-off.
I had also connected an old hard drive and mounted it, copied a few ISO's to my new large HD, and this started happening soon after. I never opened any of the files. I also disconnected the drive as well and it's still happening.
This is getting really strange....
