LXer: Will Windows 8 succeed in locking out GNU/Linux?
Published at LXer:
Is Microsoft finally resigned to the fact that Windows can never again be the dominant operating system on our planet? Or is the behemoth planning to make one final attempt to control what you use?
MS has unity and money. With those two things in evil hands anything is possible. If it does happen, the people have let it happen. Every one is inspired by the story of David and Goliath, but nobody wants to be David. Passion drives people to do extraordinary thing, and apparently money is MS's passion. So the question should be, will people let the greedy steal from them or will they stand and fight. (people <> companies) All to many of us are content complaining about the worlds short comings, and never doing anything about them. MS has their generals in this OS war, who is ours?
