Is there anything M$ has ever made that actually works and can't be hacked ? That's your answer.

Unhappy probably

MS has unity and money. With those two things in evil hands anything is possible. If it does happen, the people have let it happen. Every one is inspired by the story of David and Goliath, but nobody wants to be David. Passion drives people to do extraordinary thing, and apparently money is MS's passion. So the question should be, will people let the greedy steal from them or will they stand and fight. (people <> companies) All to many of us are content complaining about the worlds short comings, and never doing anything about them. MS has their generals in this OS war, who is ours?

two words
firmware flash, i'm sure the coreboot developers would be working on supporting those motherboards in short order

not to mention i'm sure it would be brought to the attention of the antitrust regulatory commisions (or whatever that group is)
