Using unallocated space to install Suse 9.1 w/ XP (Dual Boot)

I am considering installing Suse 9.1 (personal) along side Windows XP (home) again. The last time I did this I used the Suse partitioning utility recommendations and some how made my Windows XP partition unbootable.

This time I want to guarantee I can boot from both without problems.

I have used Partition Magic to resize my C: drive down to 19,312.5 MB. I now have 10,009.2 MB of unallocated space left to work with. I am wondering what to do when I install Suse 9.1 when it asks how I want to set up my partitions - I only want Suse to use the unallocated space and not touch anything else.

Here is the info that partition magic gave me:

C: is 19,312.5 MB, NTFS, used 4,667.2 MB, unused 14,645.3, MB Primary
Unallocated is 10,009.2 MB, Primary

Any suggestions as to what my optimum paritition set up would be? Should I use Partition Magic to create these in the unallocated space or the Suse partition utility?

I want to do everything I can so as to not screw up my Windows partition this time.

Thank you.
