Twin View in Suse 9.3


Hi,

i want to have TwinView. I have a geforce FX 5200 and i had it working in mandrake 10.1. So i copied the twinview config i used in Mandrake's xorg.conf and it doesn't work!!!

what do i have to do??

So did you install the drivers from NVidia, or how is the current distro going to support the drivers you used on Mandrake?

Is the system a real twinhead system? Do you actually have two monitors?

SUSE uses SaX2 (caps important) to configure multi-head displays, it's pretty easy if you run the tool and work your way through it.

I installed in Suse the frivers from Nvidia. They're the same as the one installed in mandrake (its a .ssh file for every distriburion)

I have a CRT monitor and a TV plugged to my video card, so i really have twinview. I can't configure with sax2 because it needs two video cards, it doesn't "know" what twinview is

Are they both monitors connected the same way or do you have one hooked up to S-video?

I have one hooked up as S-Video. I aclared that in the xorg.conf file when i activated twinview

This is my xorg.conf that works with twinview but the resolution is 1024x768 because 1280x1024 is not good for tv.
