Thanks. That wasn't the problem. Lol, it was my fault though. My computer was having problems, NO os would install correctly because of a bad partition table *recently figured out the problem.* So I installed suse with "safe settings only". I have no idea why, but it disabled allot of simple features...one being the scrolling wheel on the mouse. I made the proper changes, but no luck. So I reinstalled suse 9.3 with just the normal "install" option and everything is perfect. This suse version is by far the best. Smooth...polished. It's fast too...and whoever said it didnt have mp3 support was smoking something

Do the Bittorrent files work for you? I keep getting errors during installation.
I don't think it is my CD-drive, though. Could someone please post the MD5-sums of the five ISOs?
Thanks

Hi,
I found a torrent on filelist.org earlier this week. Installed yesterday and upgraded and installed driverloader for my dlink wifi today.
Everything looks very nice. My desktop (kde 3.4) is bright and shiny, and I think the new version of driverloader (I haven't updated for some time) have speeded up my network connection.
Although suse9.3 don't have a driver for my wlan card, it has simplified configuration for me compared to the suse9.0 that I was on preveously.
Anyway, just thought I'd tell everyone I'm one happy bunny today
hmm.. i went to suse.com ftp site and suse9.3 seem to be mostly up - i see a lot of packages there cant find it on the mirror sites though.. think suse9.3 would be released on ftp earlier than in previous releases
Some necessary things are still missing from official ftp site. Has anyone made suse9.3 available on some ftp server cause my network administrator doesn`t allow torrent. Then again i only pay 3$ for my Internet connection (shared 8Mbit/s) Only way is to get my own connection (but no money to spare) or ftp/http download.
We the beta (rc 3 If I remember correctly) available to use internally at SAP. But I haven't had the chance to install it yet. I'll keep the list posted when I do.
Good gosh, man! I just downloaded a BitTorrent client and tried to get these CDs. I can't believe how insanely slow these connections are! 1 Kb per second?! Is this normal? It'll take DAYS to download at that speed. What's up with this?
I'm using a Cable modem with an average throughput of 2 to 3 Mbps. Anyone else having these problems?
Are there any other torrent links that we can use besides what's here?

I was getting 200kb a second. Got everything overnight... Try opening ports 6881-6999 in your firewall/router

I'm downloading from within Windows XP - and don't anyone say "Well that's your problem!" or something to that effect. I will find you and bite you on the nose if you do. I'm using a personal firewall on my laptop. ZoneAlarm to be exact. I've used it for years, and I have never seen any download problems like this before with it. All the ports that bitTorrent uses have been opened. This thing's been going all night, and right now I'm getting roughly 41 - 48 Kbps. I've even moved to a different BitTorrent client - Azureus - so that I can get more information about the download, and I'm still getting terribly throughput. After an all night download, I've gotten 832.5 MB downloaded so far. The client is estimating another say and a half to complete.
I didn't think BitTorrent would be affected by the number of persons trying to download this thing, but maybe it is?

I quit using ZA when I started using Bittorrent because it doesn't work very well with it. I can never get a green connection with ZA on. As soon as I turned it off I would.
