Samba is not behaving well in suse linux
I have a weird behavior when mapping drives to windows machines using samba in suse Linux enterprise server 11 sp2. It is duplicating the user drive when mapping the drives to the windows machine. Can anyone tell me if Linux has anything to do with this behavior? It is estrange for me that a simple batch file execution can duplicate a non existen drive on those machines.
Example:
My server batch script looks like sort of as described.
rem my script to map my users drives
net use M:%serverlogon%\mydata
net use U:%serverlogon%\%username%
if not %username% == "someuser" go to next
exit
:next
pause
Can someone tell me how at execution time this script maps two user drives as the below example:
The above script results in the following mapped drives....
M:\mydata
U:\"someuser"
Z:\"someuser"...
That's the behavior I see happening but I cannot find in any of my batch files a reason or a duplicate calling to map a Z: drive to a user...
Can someone help?
