Live DVD (LiveDVD) Crashes/Hangs At Blue Screen

My OpenSUSE LiveDVD appears to crash as soon as the blue screen appears. The logo is doing nothing at all, and the DVD drive light stops flashing. The system is;

MSI K8N Neo4 SLI Platinum (model MS-7100)
BIOS - 3.0 -
PCB version - 3.00 -
64-bit Athlon 3200+
2x1024 Mb Corsair Value RAM PC3200
Leadtek 128Mb 6600GT Graphics Card
Integrated 24-bit SoundBlaster Sound Card
1.44MB 3.5"
Ultra ATA-133 PCI Host -
100GB (NTFS) System disk-\ Partitions on a RAID 0 Stripe consisting
180GB (NTFS) ------------/ of 2 Western Digital 160GB SATA-150 HDs
110.3GB (NTFS)
149GB (NTFS)
189GB (NTFS)
DVD±RW : LG-GSA-4167B
CD-RW : Asus CRW-5224A
Jeantech 450W
3.3v 30A 5v 28A 12v1 14A - 12v2 15A

Of which the mobo, graphics chip and DVD drive are confirmed as functional on the OpenSuse website.

The hash code confirmed the integrity of the .iso

I don't think it ought to matter, but the LiveDVD is written on a DVD+RW. I don't know how to test that the burn went OK, although Alcohol 120% reported that it did. I tried reburning the disc at lowest speed but get the same problem.

This is just a shot in the dark, but you might consider trying to unplug USB components that aren't completely necessary. For that matter, unplug each external device you have, then see if it'll boot. If it does, plug each device in one-by-one until you find the offender. (Sorry if this sounds too simple for your technical expertise, but I figured it's worth checking)
