INFRARED & Resolution with SuSE 10 on an Acer Aspire 1690

I use SuSE 10 on an AcerAspire 1690, but the infrared doesn´t work.

Also the Graphics driver - a Mobile Intel(R) 915gm/gms, 910GML Express chipset, doesn´t support 1280x800 resolution as it should.
By the way Acer gives an ATI driver as the one.
Any ideas?
