fingerprint in Opensuse 13.2


Hi everyone!

I have Dell Precision M4800, and it has fingerprint reader. I installed Opensuse 13.2 on my laptop. How can I use fingerprint in opensue?

Hi John!

Actually I had looked these linkes before creating this thread. I follow them but my problem did not fixed!
For example I tried to install some libreries with this below command:

zypper install fprintd fprintd-pam fprintd-pam-32bit libfprint0

But there was this error: Empty destination in URI: hd:///?device=/dev/disk/by-id/scsi-1USB_DISK_2.0-part2

You are right it was better to explain my problem at first!

Urghh. SUSE keeps the repository you installed her from as first choice, in your case the secont partition of an USB hard disk (1USB_DISK_2.0-part2).

Start up YAST2 in the GUI, go to Repositories and disable the hard disk. Then add repositories as needed. Then you can install the wanted software (right in YAST2 as it is -- frontend for zypper).
