every even (mod 2) boot first firefox instance starts without gui

Hi,

I have installed fresh instance of openSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma 5.21.5 and from second boot (and then every next even boot) firefox starts without gui.
Code:
ps aux
shows process started although as for gui part at the beginning title bar is shown and disappears after 2 seconds. Next instances starts properly but I have chosen option "restore previous session" for firefox so session restored is in this daemon instance... also it's very odd for me that after system restart this situation is back to normal and then first firefox instance starts properly. Any ideas which logs would be helpful?

Do your close all instances of Firefox prior to exiting your Plasma sessions?

What apps do you keep open when you exit a plasma session?

Do you have autologin enabled? If yes, does disabling it help?

If you create an additional user login, does Firefox behave the same there?

I'm not sure there would be any system error logging for Firefox. If you know how to use IRC, I would ask in irc://freenode/firefox. Feedback there is usually quick and helpful. https://help.mypurecloud.com/article...x-console-log/ might be helpful. https://support.mozilla.org is generally a helpful source of solutions to Firefox problems.

yes, I guess firefox was not properly closed. Additionally you ought to close it using its own hamburger menu -> close instead of just closing the window itself.

@pan64 thanks for remark but it's not it, if on N boot I had tabs is firefox session, on boot N+1 first instance goes daemon and second is "blank and fresh", and on N+2 boot first instance with saved session magically works correct (btw I am always closing same way)

thanks for answers in general I don't know if it's buggy KDE problem or firefox... since I have fresh install of system I expect that there is no script that could mess with system and I am hoping for ideas how to debug problem since it can be easily fixed (or I stumbled on a bug)

also small remark I use linux for 5 years (maybe even 7y) although I am programmer with maybe average linux knowledge and this is very strange behavior that shouldn't be present in any software and is really puzzling

maybe there is corrupted script somewhere and it has
Code:
 x = -x
this should cause mistakes, maybe even this script sets variable in place and at some point it should restore old value but since this script throws exception restoring command never executes...

It turns out that it was KDE problem - when I left firefox (even daemon) instance running when turning computer off then KDE during restoring session started firefox properly but when I turned off all instances then after boot first went always daemon. Anyway I switched to other environment and everything works properly. I am not interested in trying to solve problem further but it's some kind of bug in KDE. Thank you for answers!
