Xorg on OpenSolaris on Hyper-V

I'm using Solaris 2009-06 in a Hyper-V VM on the first boot the GUI works fine but not on subsequent ones. After running /usr/X11/bin/xorgconfig I specified a config for a monitor that can do 1280*1024 @74 Hz with 2048K of video RAM (I guessed this one) for some reason this setting is commented out. A 16-bit colour depth. I got:

(EE) Failed to load module "vga" (module does not exist, 0)

I tried changing the entry in the xorg.conf to vesa but got

(EE) VESA(0): V_BIOS address 0x44420 out of range

screens found but none have usable configuration

Can anyone advise on this?
