Question Video Player For Solaris 10

Hi Friends,
Can anyone one help me to install a better video player in my solaris
system?. Kindly help me.

What are your expectations from the "better" video player ? which video player you have currently ?

Dear anishakaul,
Presently i have the default real player. I want a player which will play
all video format.

You can install Mplayer. There are binary packages, google for it. MPlayer plays more codecs than VLC.

You can also compile VLC player, by using "spec-files" - but that is much more work and more difficult. Google for "spec-files" if you want to try it.

Forgot: MPlayer has no GUI. To get GUI, you need to run "gmplayer"
