Ive spent awhile now trying to get apache compiled under solaris 10. I went to solarisfreeware.com (or was it .org?) and downloaded the GCC package, and some other one which was required by it. Added GCC's directory to the $PATH, but I still seem to be missing something

You downloaded an apparently broken gcc package, this is unnecessary as a working gcc is included in Solaris 10 (/usr/sfw/bin/gcc).
Apache is also already included with Solaris (/usr/apache /usr/apache2)
GCC and apache wernt installed as far as I know, I chose a fairly minimal installation. Regardless if apache and GCC were there to begin with or not, this problem isnt just limited to apache, I wont be able to compile anything. Aside from possibly re-installing GCC, should there be anything else that I could look into?
Distribution: Solaris 11.4, Oracle Linux, Mint, Debian/WSL

A minimal installation isn't suitable for compilation. You'll miss at least some include files, the assembler and the linker.
You need to install at least the developer cluster, or manually install the missing packages, which may be tedious if you aren't familiar with the process.
Alternatively, you can install an already compiled Apache and most popular Open Source programs the same way.
