It seems to me that the error messages have spelled it out pretty clearly for you.

There has been an error trying to write to the tape. The tape system has attempted to do an automatic cleaning, but the cleaning tape has been used up, so it can't do it.

You need to replace the cleaning tapes. It could also be a bad data tape, so you should try alternative new tapes for writing. Try reading some tapes. But you should resolve all that manually. Use the front panel (or mtx) and mt to work with it. Once that is ironed out, the automatic backups should run alright. Worst case, you could have tape drive problems, but I wouldn't worry about that until you've addressed the other issues and possibilities. They are common and more likely.
