sun creator3d to vga

Hello all,

I recieved a retired Sun Ultra 60 Creator3d from my office. It was used in a server role and as far as I know has never had a monitor attached to it. I don't have a Sun monitor, but I do have a 13w3 to vga adapter. The monitor I'm attempting to use does work when attached to any of the VGA cards I have.

The box boots without a problem and I've been able to run ffbconfig against the card to change the resolution and sync rate. However ffbconfing says that the monitor wasn't able to be identified and that it's defaulting to a Sun 19". I've set the default display to be the Creator3d rather than the console, and I attached a Sun Keyboard and unattached the console. The box appears to POST but I get no output to my monitor.

Any ideas?

-Edit:

I can't confirm the video modes the monitor I have works at. I've not been able to find the website of the brand (axion) so I can't get a spec sheet. The VGA connectors I mentioned above are on a FreeBSD box and a Linux box, neither of which have X installed, so I based the statement that the monitor works on CLI output from these boxes. The monitor did work at up to 1600x1200 on my Windows box when I still had a analog video out put on it. However, as I stated above I would have thought setting the Creator3d to 1024x768x75 would have worked, I get no output of anykind on the monitor, not even out of sync or skew.

Thanks,
Scott
