((SOLVED)) solaris 10 gateway problem.(internet connection)


greetings,

my ibm thinkpad t20 laptop tcfe network driver installing and solved network, thanks jlliagre!

my network running, but no internet connection.
my dns server ip: 200.66.6.1 or google dns.

how do set google dns or my dns 200.66.6.1

i am noob thanks

Hi,

You can add the nameservers you want in /etc/resolv.conf. For example in your case edit /etc/resolv.conf and add:

nameserver 200.66.6.1
nameserver 8.8.8.8
To add a default gateway (e.g 200.66.6.1), run:

route add default 200.66.6.1
To make this permanent, add the gateway IP in /etc/defaultrouter
