I hate to ask, but you are using the x86 version and not the sparc version right?

Yes, I realized that you were working with an x86 box, but some people may not pay attention when they download Solaris for free, they are downloading the Sparc version. You have to pay $20 US to get the x86 version. I just wanted to be sure that you had the right one before going any further.

Now if you are sure you have the right discs, then what does the HCL for Solaris tell you about your HW?

Nothing really, they only have about 8 motherboards, and they aren't exactly new ones, and on the graphics card there only Ati and a fex Matrox.
