Solaris11 OS backup

Hello Gents,,

since Solaris11 has stopped using flarcreate ,, I am concerned how to take a backup for the OS in case of a system crash or any emergency need .

I have tried to use snapshot archiving but I dont think I got it properly because the archive file is requiring a huge amount of utilization (around 110GBs) while the OS is freshly installed .

Flar has been superseded bu UAR (Unified Archives).

Have a look to https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E53394_01...846/gmweq.html

How did you make the snapshot? Are you using zfs disks in pools and doing it through that?
