Rep:
These are the boot messages I was talking about, unfortunately, your card doesn't show-up there.
I can't explain why.
I guess you already checked the card still works under another O/S on the same computer.
I guess, with respect to DLINK cards, there could be a driver issue, with rtls, and vfe not working, maybe it could be that there is a specific driver that we haven't tried so far...
I am speaking from failed attempts to detect my DLINK 520 ethernet card, for which vfe driver has not worked.
Yes, I do have the mention entry. I am also not able to figure it out what exactly problem is? During installation it had detected with strange name "rf*". I feel there must be problem with the driver may be trouble attaching driver to specific device.
This is just an environment test box before I make it to the production. In any case I am going to reload it.
Anyway thanks for your help and for the time committed to the subject. I'll definitely update if anything new comes up.
I have downloaded and tried to installed it
# cd /.../rf-x.x.x
# /usr/ccs/bin/make install
# ./adddrv.sh
# rm /kernel/drv/rf (for solaris7, don't remove the file )
# modload obj/rf
but got error in the end
# devfsadm -i rf
devfsadm: driver failed to attach: rf
And,
these are the entries got added in the end during installation in /etc/driver_aliases file
