Moved: More suitable in our Solaris forum.

Well 8 is not available no longer and 9 well, you really can't download for free as it has license restrictions and such. Right now it costs 20 dollars for download and I believe that entitles you to 5 license uses. So if you download from a site for free right now, most likely its an illegal download, etc.

Goto www.sun.com for more information on their x86 Solaris downloads, license.. etc.

Next time you should specify if your downloading either x86 or SPARC platform, so we don't assume.

But you can always download from www.sun.com , which I'm sure you already found out I assume.
