Why are you using that one ?

Then it i have a positive resulat of the compilation.
But when i tried to load it i get the following:
Code:
modload rf

Oct 14 :14:27:21 openssollie krtld: 'gld_mac_alloc'
" " /usr/local/RF-2.2/RF/sparcv9/rf: undefined symbol

" " 'gld_close'
" " /usr/local/RF-2.2/RF sparcv9/rf: undefined symbol
..
..
..
So GLD is the bad person in this case.
I just compiled the driver on a Solaris 9 sparcv9 machine and strictly followed the README instructions.
I had no issue to build it.

Can you post the precise steps you used to build yours ?

THanks for the patience .
In the meantime i did a full installation of solaris 8.
Anyway, i download de rf-2.2.0 file.
Unzip it and make 2 symlinks. sparcv9 -> obj and Makefile.sparcv9_gcc -> Makefile.
I also install gcc from the companion cd.

Then i type /usr/ccs/bin/make in the directory.

When it starts compiling i get a new error.

Code:
cc1: -m64 is not supported by this configuration
cc1: -mptr32 not allow on -m64
rf.gem.c: in function 'rf_reset_chip':

etc.etc.
When i try to remove that -m64 switch from the Makefile.macros it get alot of errors like:
Code:
line {number}: error: cnnot use v8plus instructinos in a non-v8plus target binary

Okay, one big difference is I used Sun C compiler (Studio 11), not gcc.

You can download it for free and try again.

Well, thanks for all the information!
But i've 'managed' to fix the problem.
My hub is broken, but very strange, 'cause i've a few linux/windows pc's on that hub, and those pc's work well.

Anyway, i did put the solaris straight into the router, and the problem was fixed.

Very strange, but it did help .

Now i'm installing alot of things..

Cheers
