hi guys
i have 2 hard drives of 70Gb each installed on a server running solaris 10 sparc.
i would like to know the commands and steps to create a raid 1 (mirror).
...Where poolname is whatever you want to name the pool (and consequently your mountpoint)
Also note that your discs will probably be named different...do a format and you will see what the discs are named...(get out of the format prompt by typeing ctrl+c)
Distribution: Solaris 11.4, Oracle Linux, Mint, Debian/WSL

Actually, the sample command custangro posted is the only one needed to create a raid configuration using ZFS.
Not only it builds a RAID but it also creates a filesystem and make it mounted and available.
The only thing you need to change is the devices passed to the command. Of course, these depends on your disks, partitions or whatever you want to create your mirror on.
