Newbie here,
I have installed Solaris but when I launch it, it opens an empty screen (no devices).
As I already have my Logitech M720 Triathlon mouse working I would have at least expected to see that.
I am trying to pair my Logitech K850 keyboard. When I try to do this it delivers a password but there's nowhere to enter it.
I thought Solaris might be able to help but not sure how to open the screen to add a new device.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Ian.
I don't know how it works on Solaris, but I've done this in Linux and back when I did it it was pretty weird and obtuse.
Anyway, IIRC it will give you something like a 6 digit password and you type it on the keyboard. Then the pairing process will continue (and hopefully complete).
In order to make the K850 go into pairing mode, you have to press something on it. Otherwise your computer won't see it.
On my Logitec K810, I press and hold one of the three bluetooth switch keys until the light above the key starts blinking. At that point, it's in pairing mode and bluetooth hosts can see it (to attempt to pair with it).
The bluetooth pairing software on the host will present a password that must be typed into the keyboard. And IIRC that's pretty much all it takes.
I have tried pairing prior to installing Solaar. It offers a 6-digit password but there is nowhere to enter it.
Also, I have put the keyboard in pairing mode but it's still not seen.
You need to type the password on the bluetooth keyboard itself.
When it shows you the password, type it on the keyboard. Depending on the UI of the bluetooth pairing software, you might see no feedback at all, or you might see the password typing out as you type it.
