NFS server not responding still trying


One of the remote server is down.

How do I stop it from trying to mount the remote share?

Try "umount -f ..."

Can you tell more ?
What Solaris release ?
What is mounted and how ?
What is accessing the remote filesystem ?

Remove the entry from /etc/vfstab from client machine, so that the system will stop sharing the resource.
