i am using solaris10 sparc for r&d now the machien becomes slow.
is thete any way to delete all unwanted and temporary files or any other way to speed the machine.
...agree with previous reply: The only reason that an excess of temporary files will cause an appreciable slow down is if you are running out of space on the volume on which the temporary files are stored. If not, reducing the temporary files will be useless as a speed-up measure.
So, assuming that free space is satisfactory, you have to do some digging around.

What machine is it?
If it is a box that shipped with solaris 8 or 9, it will probally run solaris 10.... but not anywhere near the performance you would hope for.
Solaris 10 has many things that make it a great operating system, but it does demand much faster hardware, and much more ram to run well than its predecessors.
