jumpstart

Hi Guys

I just wanted to post this solution to a problem that I have been struggling to fix for quite some time. The problem was when I ran below check script in order to create a rules.ok file I would get the following error:

root@solaris10:jumpstart# ./check
ERROR: Unable to execute /usr/sbin/chkprobe
Usage: check [-r <rules filename>] [-p <Solaris 2.x CD image path>]

To resolve above problem all you need to do is make sure chkprobe file exists in this directory path with file:

/usr/sbin/install.d/chkprobe

If the above file does not exist its most likely you have a missing package. You will need to install this package in order to resolve above mentioned problem:

SUNWinst

If the above package is installed the file chkprobe is still missing then try re-installing the package because it supposed to have that file.
