how to mount a new harddisk

Hi to all
this is kjs . i have one question . I have a new ibm hardisk with me . its one scsi hardisk . i want to install in one sun sparc 250 server. that sparc server have already two hdd . so i want to install the new harddisk hwo its possible

can any one help me

So what is your problem ? H/W installation ? device detection ? partitioning ? file-system creation ? all of the above ?

yes ur correct first i want to install the newhardisk and after that partiton the new harddisk all the things.

yes i already plug the harddisk and the server is working fine. Now i want to run the server with new harddisk . pl help me . how to mount the hardidsk & how to partition the harddisk

Once you plug in the HD run these commands:

drvconfig
disks
format

Then it will display the disks that solaris recognizes, pick the disk and proceed from there.
