Backup any XP documents and files that you wan't to preserve should something odd happens.

Boot on your distribution installation media, launch a shell from there an reinstall grub with a command like:

/usr/sbin/installgrub /.cdrom/boot/grub/stage1 /.cdrom/boot/grub/stage2 /dev/rdsk/c4d0s0

You'll probably need to adjust the cdrom mount point (/.cdrom) and the disk device (c4d0s0).

You might also need to make the Solaris2 partition the active one if not already with fdisk.

well Thanks for your reply
here is the procedure I did but not solved
First Insert DVD into Drive and when it will show some message like loading grub stage1 ,At this time you need to press "c" ,so it can take to you into Grub,Then type these command and in my HDD I have three partitions these are according to my partitions
Code:
grub>rootnoverify (hd0,2)
grub>makeactive
grub>chainloader +1
grub>boot

So what happened after you ran "boot" ?

Are you sure your Solaris partition is the third primary one ?
