help, printing using custome gs

Hi
I bit stuck in setting up a printer on a solaris 8 box.
The printer is on a network.
I had to compile a custome ghostcript, due to the fact that it did not contain my printer drivers(gdi).

Well I followed the instructions from the following website:
http://cfauvcs5.harvard.edu/SetGSprinter4Solaris.html

Tried to print, but nothing.
Has anyone had any experience setting up a network printer using ghostscript?
Am I missing something?

thanks

Does it give any sort of errors? Have you tried maybe just generic drivers to see if it recognizes or prints? Can you ping the printer, since its on the network?
