Firmware update necessary in Sun L40 Tape library?

Hi All!

I have no idea if an upgrade of firmware is necessary after replacing Tape Drive in StorEdge L40 Tape Library? I've read that firmware update is required after replacing certain FRU, does that include Tape Drives as well? Please advise. Thank you
