Email?

I have a java programming class using solaris 9. The lab is locked and I forgot to save my assignment to my flash drive. I'm on windows now and have the access to telnet to the machine. I can work on my program through telnet, but its an applet therefore i need a browser to test it. So is there a command that I can use to send an email with my .java file as an attachment via the console.

I just tried
Code:
mailx -s "Java file" myemailaddres < ./rect/drawRects.java
but it didn't work, never got anything.

Do you have nail (with an 'n') installed? If so, this should work:
Code:
nail -s "A subject" -a someprog.java username@somewhere.com

it didn't work, so I assume nail is not installed. I realized something else i could do. I just used a text editor(pico) and opened the file and then copied the code to a new file on my machine. Not sure why i didn't think of this earlier.

mailx will not be work if you don't have something like sendmail configured.
If you are logged in (via telnet), are you allowed to configure ftp? If so,
ftp the files back. You can probably use scp as well (may or may not be configured).
