apt-get in debian

Hi,
I am using opensolaris ( in-preview on-live CD on laptop), I want to complete from the DVD ( Solaris 11_X86),
How to install a software which depends on another, for example I use the command:

pkgadd -d /media/SOL_11_X86/Solaris_11/Product/ SUNWstaroffice-calc
but calc depends surely on core ?? is there a procedure to resolv the dependences?

Something like apt-get in debian ?

Another question:
I installed SUNWa2psS from the DVD,
It works , how to display info about the package, I tried unsuccessfully pkginfo a2psS ??

When I install a package, say SUNWstaroffice-calc, how to know the corresponding executable name. for example a2ps corresponds to SUNWa2psS package?

thanks for help

You are actually using Indiana. Again, please states you do it in you next postings instead of OpenSolaris otherwise it will confuse the readers.

The very point of Indiana is to provide a better command than pkg-add to install package.

Use the pkg command instead.

You bet. Indiana is Ian Murdock's last baby. Ian Murdock created the debian distribution.

I believe this package is containing source code.
Use the "pkgchk -v SUNWa2psS" command.

There isn't always a one for one correspondance between a package and a binary.
Use the previous pkgchk command to figure out what is in a package.

Thanks
pkg is a good news, what about repository, like (in debian : thanks to ian Murdock), apt/sources.list ?

It may be a bug in the packaging libraries. This shouldn't be surprising assuming "preview" means the Indiana release you are using is really a beta (and perhaps alpha) release.
It should really be used to explore the new installation and packaging features but shouldn't be expected to be of production quality.

Is there a solution

Ok,
so what is the solution, Is there a possibility to install apt-get in another way. if I can find the binary(executable) of apt-get to put it directly in my machine ?
I can't use the opensolaris, it requires at least 732 MB memory, I have just 512MB?
thanks for help
